Once they reach high rank, snipers are almost unbeatable. Squadsight means theoretically infinite range, and their accuracy is so high 100% hit rates on enemies in partial cover are possible and even probable. Just need to find a good position to get a clear line of fire and start racking up the kills.

On that note, if you still need help fighting the aliens, I'll gladly join XCOM. Looks- and Specialty-wise, I'll let you choose, though I'd prefer an avatar resembling Jack Harkness.
