I played the Derelict campaign some time ago. I just recently got the reissue of FS2 and am happily getting back in the game. I wanted to ask some general questions on this campaign.
1. Does anyone know if the voice-acting was ever completed?
2. Are there any download links available?
3. Wasn't this campaign part of another one?
Thanks. I will take appropriate spankings if I should have found this in a forum search, but I did not.

The voice acting was not completed and the only link for the campaign was at VW.
-
BWO is the sequel to Deralict.
-
i thought it wasn't a sequel, but it would reference some events from derelict and warzone

You could be right. :) I haven't been paying that much attention to it :)
-
Mmm... voice acting... I can go for that sort of thing! Count me in!

And you can imagine my disappointment when the installer didn't work :P

See, I LOVED that campaign and damn me for not saving the installer. Other than no voice acting, cutscenes, and a few mission bugs, it was an absolute blast to play.
I don't suppose maybe someone has it since the links are long gone?

I have the original .vp lying around somewhere. Could put it up if you prefer :)

That would be awesome. I'm working on Inferno Chapter 1 right now. I'm simply astounded with what users have been able to create, and i know this doesn't even come close to touching SCP. These things are easily on par with anything created by Volition minus the obvious things.
Derelict was a real challenge and lots of fun. I'd be grateful to get my hands on it.

only be able to put it up tommorow/dayafter, since I dont exactly have access to my computer atm :P
hmm..just realized, i may not have the .vp at all, but wont know till I get home....

Here. Try this (http://swooh.com/peon/karajorma/Downloads/Derelict.zip)
VP goes in your main FS2 folder. Tables go in data. (Unless you're using FS2_Open in which case make a Folder called Deralict and put the VP in it and the tables in a subfolder of it called Data/Tables).
If you're using HotU and not using FS2_Open you may have to back up your original tables or grab yourself the FS2 root.vp from here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/freespace/Downloads/root_fs2.rar)
(Well worth grabbing if you haven't already gotten the patched VP already)
-
Is there some reason why tables don't work from in a VP file?
-
No reason. It's just that there aren't any tables in that Deralict VP file :D

Sequals are always good.

Karajorma you, as ever, rule. Thank you for making this available :) Downloaded and installed already.
Again, thank yew.

No problem. I had it lying about and it took me all of a minute to upload so why not? :D

Yeah, and we've got to see what happens with Auriga and Enigma. Auriga was the coolest ship in the campaign. :P Even if it didn't have a custom model or textures. You can just leave a ship like that hanging around without knowing what happens...or why it happened?

I think I stayed up till 5 AM playing it. Now I'm completely slugged out at work. Made the 8 AM meeting a blast.
;)

:) You could always install a copy for your boss :D It's hard for him to complain at you when he's in the same situation :D

You, sir, would want to play HomeSick.

I plan to, most definately.
I'm working my way through Derelict now, then I'm going back to Legacy. Already downloaded Homesick and am very much looking forward to trying it out. :)

I'm actually amazed that the Derelict installer doesn't "exist" anymore. Surely the creators of the campaign must still have it?
anyway, thanks for the DL Derelict ranks as one of FS2's finest.
