Something I was thinking about while watching the FS1 intro.
[glow=red]Oh God, they're following me! Mayday! This is Lieutenant Ash on Terran Patrol, Wing Gamma, three-niner![/glow]
Has anyone considered FREDing the Ross 128 attack as a precursor to the main FS campaign?
[glow=green]Calm down, sir. Who attacked you? Was it the Vasudans?[/glow]
[glow=red]Vasudans were killed, too! They slaughtered everyone![/glow]
The intro movie clearly shows at least two cruisers in the vicinity of the GTI Riviera, along with the station's fighter compliment, and while they're admittedly no match for the Lucifer, there's the potential for some action there. After all, part of the mission script is already there...
[glow=green]Pilot, sit tight! We're sending recovery craft right now![/glow]
[glow=red]Send FIGHTERS! I... I know they're following me, send everything you have, now![/glow]
It's not necessary, of course, since the intro itself conveys a part of the scene very well, but since we have a Tombaugh Station mission now, I thought that for completeness's sake, it might be a fun idea.

[glow=red]No it isn't! You don't understand! You weren't there! I can feel them following me...[/glow]

I was considering that, but it'd have to be a one-way mission, unless you want to try to bring GTI's covert actions into it.

the first thing I did when I started modding was made this mission, then I made a 10 mission campain, following the few survivors of the atack, and there atempts to negotiate with the vasudans. I thought it was prety good, to bad I don't have it anymore.

I made one too. I was considering releasing it with FOW, but this is a good place to put it. I'll upload it when I get back to my computer.

There would be alot of shivan crusiers annd fighters.

you could cut out the voice files from the movie, at least have some primitive voice acting......
I could make this mission for FS2...but have no apollo unfortunately :(

Speaking about the box... Anyone else who got the big Old-School box with 2 CD's and the key reference chart remember the Ship size comparison? I have the box next to me, and perhaps sometime i'll scan it, but its just weird that they tell you the ship sizes, on the back of the box, before you would even play the game... Along with show you a cain and appolo in FRED... (still on the back of the box)

Yeah, it been done before many times....
The best one I've played so far is called (do a search in the VW Archives) H.E.S. - GW S.1.
It had the sound rip and everything.
If you think you can make a better one than go ahead...
