How do you change them?  I can only change the part that says "Captain Caaaaaaveman!", not the part that says "əp!sd!l£"

They are awarded by Admin for noteable behaviour, though, not always the behaviour the person would 'wish' to have noted Even Moderators can't change them.

Edit : Oh. and Avatars are limited to Admin only, basically because it tends to get to the stage where pages take 15 minutes to load and contain more animated gifs than text.

Eh, it will take a while, takashi...; you know, you don't have to be able to MOD to impress the folks here.  Just try to be helpful... if you can't change something yourself, post an IMHO about it.  And don't worry if no one agrees with you; that's okay, we're all different.  Just don't get upset about it, accept it.  Although if you can MOD, and you're just off to a rocky start, then keep plugging at it, just don't try to honk your own horn.  If you make it (right), they will come...
