Holy ****, the campaign map is so ****ing cool! Its almost like playing a different game at times.
This was a wonderful replay of an excellent mod. I loved all the subtle (and not so subtle) differences in this version. :)

Okey Dokey! So I played through it multiple times and I can safely say I am very satisfied with it. Big game companies should take note about the term Beta and Release from you because this amount of polish is not present in today's games. Campaign was awesome, Epsilon 1's stabbed toe must've been painful, still trying to beat the damned endless gauntlet so I still have things to do with this little gem. Another frakking masterpiece from Axem. Thanks for filling my boring little grey life with just the right amount of humor, sillyness, laughter, over the top bosses and most importantly beamzzz. (There are never enough beamzzz) Now I'm waiting for Alpha 1 x Holley fanfictions mwahahahahahaha

Nope, never heard of this problem before. And what a silly problem this is too! 1280x1024 is a screen res that I hadn't quite taken into account, so the game defaults to looking at the 640x480 files.
Can you save the attachment below and place it in your JAD2-2/data/tables/ directory and see if things work?

How long are you cooking it for? Be sure the texture reaches a golden brown before turning the engines off. There is a secret sweet spot within that golden brown region that will get you a potential S-Rank cake.
No, Holley never actually makes a good cake. I can only believe that good ranks given for cakes were based off of hallucinations by the judges. (Luckily Holley's friends know what they're getting into before hand!)

Maybe just... leave them until he takes control of them.But the problem is, when he takes control of them (when they are critical, i.e. say 1%), it will self destruct. If all self-destructed, the Tenth will fly out, thus impeding mission progress.

You can just DL the files from Knossos website and put them into the same folder .21 and .22 are in.
And I still find it really hard to say anything meaningful about it aside from "it's good because it's fun".

I've only taken a passing interest in anime in the past and I haven't seen Evangelion, so I suspect a lot of the references were lost to me. However I do feel that a lot of the themes of JAD (+/- Evangelion?) are universal: the power of friendship to overcome, Love Conquers All, the real Alpha 1 were the friends we made along the way etc.
Spoiler:I would have enjoyed more development about STEELE's different projects - the contrast between the nightmares and the winged fighters was a nice touch - but I understand time and creative energy was a big factor towards the end there.
I also have a gripe about balance:Spoiler:In Cake Eater, the Seranerges are equipped with Flames of Justice for some reason and the Iapetus gets knocked to like 5% if you get hit by one of those. In my last playthrough I had to do like 4 retries because of that.
