Well the EA in INFSCP have railguns and beam cannons. And flak. So bah.

Re: BP: "Darkest Hour" preview
I like the idea of the UEF more than the EA of Inferno simply because it shows more diversity. Undoubtedly 50 years of separation would make the two factions differ in combat style.
Just so that you know the EA has had railguns long before BP.

There's not much comparison. The UEF has a religious aspect and a culture far different from the EA's fascist state. Plus, it seems they're closer to what the Vishnans want us to be than the EA ever was.

If the Solace defects, I'm a happy man. :D

The Vasudans will probably side with the GTVA at first, but if a group of them, preferably high-level officials on some kind of joyride, are captured, given a lengthy outlook of things and then released, they may switch sides instead.

You're assuming the GTVA aren't the "good guys". Which they may very well be.
From the end of Blue Planet, the player knows absolutely nothing about the Earth forces.

Well from the point of view of the UEF, the GTVA are evil invaders attacking for no reason. Remember, the GTVA wanted to destroy the people of Sol before they even made first contact.

Yes. I wonder if the GTVA High Council motives will be explained in WiH. Hopefully they get killed for treason.  :)

No, remember that the first ship into Sol wasn't the fleet it was a series of probes. The GTVA may well know more about the Sol forces than the player does. And may therefore have reasons for going on the offensive. Since the story in AoA was pretty inventive, I would think there's more to the WiH besides "GTVA bad, Sol Good".

And we can be sure that the Vishnans and the Shivans are definitely going to screw things up in a way we don't expect in the war.  :D

That, I think, makes WiH worth the wait. I'd really like to see how the end of the war came about. ;)

Yeah, what's Sam doing in WiH?

Bossing the Council around, nagging his father for the command he promised him, busy being the next Messiah...

You know, that sort of thing.

Re: BP: "Darkest Hour" preview
So when will BP2 be released
FROM FS1
When the destroyers came for us, we attacked. Never had we been defeated. They were like the others: strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others: They did not die. We made our first retreat. We could forego one system. We left it to the destroyers and went elsewhere. But they followed. They hunted us. They followed us when we retreated, discovered where we lived.
For a long time we did not know why they chased us. They were no ordinary enemy. They did not seek our territory, our technology, our resources.
Now we know our crime was sin.
