So I officially graduated from my bachelor of science (biological science) last thursday

and am hard at work finding work (while also doing volunteer work experience stuff at my local hospital)
Got the graduation done just in time because since thursday its been miserable wet here.

Ah yes, the sound of grinding, crunching bits of tooth, and a subtle smell of smoke. Fun time all around!

Daughter was sleep walking again. We've established a "truce" between us parents and the kids where they do not invade our bed, but we've set up an air mattress at the foot of our bed that they can come sleep in if they wake up scared in the middle of the night. I hear the girl trudging and fumbling about in the middle of the night trying to tuck herself into the air mattress. I ask her if she's ok and if she has brother with her. I get some kind of confused mumble back, so I ask again, no answer.

This morning, I ask if she remembers waking up and coming to our room last night. Nope.

Anyway. This is starting to feel like a two-cups-of-coffee morning. I'm dead tired.

On my flight back from florida, I jerked out of my uncomfortable as all hell plane nap just in time to look out the window as we were passing over the shipyard. Imagine my non-surprise to see my carrier still sitting there.

Not quite that bad, but they did burrow into the air filter, which I guess eventually broke apart enough to get sucked into places it shouldn't have. The car went kaput right as I was turning onto a major 4-lane divided roadway, and of course because no one out there pays attention to anything someone wound up rear-ending someone else just behind me. Fortunately I escaped that part of it, but this was bad enough.

Least it was an event you walked away from. If it also makes you feel any better, mice/rats in engines wrecking havoc is actually not uncommon
