hi! can someone plz upload the mod files (mvp's, 5.5launcher, campaigns etc) for freespace 2 to thepiratebay? because all the links on the forum is broken. if not is this a dying community?

First of all, most if not all of the links, and definitely all the important ones such as stable FSO builds and latest MVP releases are up and working. Second, I don't see why the hell we should upload free and open-sourced stuff to thepiratebay. And third, this is probably one of the most active modding community you'll find on the net.
If links don't work for you, the problem is on your end.

Chill out, dude. I've just checked the links and they all work. We have dozens of downloads per week, so the issue is definitely on your end.
EDIT : Launcher link seems down indeed, I apologize. However the MVPs are definitely up for DL.

MVPs are here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=70736.0), and I just mirrored the Launcher on the above post. Looks like the FSO links on the page you linked before are dead too, sounds like there's a server down somewhere. There have been reports of other links down in the Nightly section and for the fso installer. Hold tight, I'm gonna mirror the .12 build.

Np. It's the first time that particular server is down that I can remember of, and this shows we cruelly lack of mirrors for major DLs. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, you just happened to come here at the wrong time.

No it is not a dying community, we're just having an issue with our hosting service, so all the main content servers are down until it's resolved.

Christ man, you have one server hiccup and all the doomsday soothsayers come crawling out of the woodwork. Services will be fully restored in a couple days, with some plans put in place to prevent this having such a strong affect should it happen again in the near future.

Any chance we could get the latest Linux builds mirrored, too? [If so... thank you!]

I generally avoid suggesting building your own, but on Linux that's actually a better idea than using the released Linux builds. Have you considered making your own maelstrom? There's a guide in the Wiki (http://hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Linux).
