look at the last mission in Tides of Darkness. The Negator(Nightmares) are encounter the Shivans as well.
The Destroyer also named as ND Negator or so(if i don´t be wrong).

I was just stating that Battuta never told me anything of Nightmares being "aliens superior to Shivans". However, the user says that it has been explained to me 9 times, which I don't recall of.
