FS2_Open not working on OSX.
Hi, everyone

I have been playing Freespace and BtRL on my iMac G5 with very few problems.  I recently got a MacBook Pro and installed Lepoard on it.  I used the Migration Assistant or whatever to transfer all of my files and apps to my new computer (it copies everything exactly as it was).  Now, Freespace Open (3.6.9) seems to freeze after a short time of being open.  It stops responding, I can't quit, when I try to force quit, music stops, regular cursor appears, but Freespace does not quit, and I have to fore shut down my computer.  The BtRL app just bounces once on the dock and doesn't open.

If I can't play Freespace, I think I may die.

Hmm...  I got BtRL to work by running Beyond The Red Line Demo.bin directly from the Terminal.  The same problem Arises.  It seems to happen every time I move my mouse to the left EDIT: RIGHT side of the screen.  I was able to play one mission by mousing carefully though.

Have you tried the new test build yet?  This sounds like the old PBO problem, which was fixed a few months ago.  Although the new build isn't going to work properly with BtRL (since the BtRL build is customized a bit), try it with normal FreeSpace2 missions/mods and see if it works.

Thanks.  That seems to have fixed the problem.  Too bad BtRL still has the problem though.  Oh well, I can get around it if I'm careful.

Thanks.  That seems to have fixed the problem.  Too bad BtRL still has the problem though.  Oh well, I can get around it if I'm careful.
I'm really behind with everything, but I'll get the new BtRL OS X build out in the next couple of days.  It isn't going to have all of stuff that the test build has in it but it will have that particular crash bug fixed at least.

Well...I ended up using the old build (the problem is actually easy to get around if you are careful) because the new build makes all ships nearly invisible (I think this is a known issue).  The new Laboratory is cool though, but sometimes the lighting looks kinda weird.
