I haven't visited this website in about 6 months and i see this Source Code Project.  I am just wondering what it is?

Its a whole game so its very complicated.
Some of us who have C or C++ experience are working on it to bring new features.

The code is avaliable to view for all.
And the results of our work are also avaliable to all.
Every so often we release an exe with new stuff.

OK, i understand now.  I have been playing Freespace for a long time its just that i had no internet for about 6 months.  I heard talk about the code being released when i still had it, but i thought they wouldnt release it.:wink:

Well, the only bad thing about the release is you can't buy fs2 anymore in a store - I know about ebay and other online stores, and I know you can get them sometimes; but for the most part it isn't available - After the source code release, they took it off the shelves.:sigh:

I think it may have left the shelves way before then, at least where I live anyway. Its not like the source code gives away the game, without the data its useless.

Well, until about a month before the SC was released, EB was still selling the pack with fs1+fs2. :blah: Strange.

Yea, i also saw the fs1 and 2 pack in a computer software store where i live.

I saw FS2+FS2 for £5 a few months ago, I was tempted to get it again just cos its such a good deal.

I went to my software store and surprising they had the FS2 version of the year or whatever it is called.
