The 158th Banshee Squadron Returns! And we have positions open!
Back from the graves, and under new management! Thanks to the benevolence of the previous team, we are able to resume work on this project! Currently we're still in the logistical phase of starting the project up; unlike a lot of other resurrected projects we were left with a nearly completed demo, so we won't need a massive team right away.

Please include examples of your work.

We are currently looking for:
MUSIC COMPOSERS - Although we probably won't include new music with exposition right away, we plan to have another release in the future.

We will be looking for in the future (not yet):
MODELERS



If any previous members have important documents they want us to have, PLEASE PM me or another member!

And expect more updates in the near future!

The models look nice (provided the freighters can't take down a Ravana :p); I'll let you know if you're on once we need modelers. :)

The first one is a cruiser, the second one the Cargo Frigate is a frigate with cargo pods. :P
And sounds great.

I can do simple FREDding and I can also do 3D modelling.  I can also help with importing models into the game.  However, I am very poor at texture art.  I'm a very skilled pilot, however, and I don't know how much time I can commit to you guys, since I am already involved with WCS.

I may or may not be interested in joining 158th...  I'll have to think about it.

But at least your missions won't involve autopilot.  Man, it is hard to work with!

Here are my updated versions of the Exposition weapons. Effects are based on those by DaBrain and Lightspeed, and sounds come from Descent and Babylon 5.

Also a short note for FREDers.
We're going to release quality mod with high-quality missions. We're putting our efforts to make good and playable campaign so we'll hire only really good FREDers. If you want to FRED check if you include in your missions those things:

  • Variables
  • SCP Sexps
  • You use many various messages
  • Missions are expanded and they aren't very simply

Those are just my suggestions that could improve mission quality ;)

Is there an introduction to the MOD? I read "two campaigns in the making and a fighter squadron combine etc. etc."...what about the campaigns? Are they post-Capella? Is the MOD full of new models, textures, etc. etc.?

I actually have no idea where that description came from. There isn't really two campaigns, it's more of three to six, demo excluded. Anyway, once we figure out how to get the website working and root around through the plans the original team had a bit more, we'll have official descriptions put up on the website. So just for now: Be patient with that!

It'll most likely come after exposition, unfortunately. Unless, by some miracle  we figure it out right away...

And beware, the website has nothing after Exposition, which is the demo. I'm not going to post individual descriptions of the following chapters yet because A) from what I've read so far they weren't even finalized by the original team and B) I don't want to make up random **** just because people want to know stuff right away.
