Screencap Contest - June 2018
This month's theme is "The Calvary is here!". Show me the good guys arriving to save the day. A fleet warping in en masse, a prominent ship swooping in over the helpless heroes, the tides of battle changing in an instant! Or anything else you might think of with that phrase.

The rules are:

1: No HUD!
2: Images must be presented as they would be as seen with only the FSO engine rendering the image. So that means no after the fact photoshopping (except for cropping), and no external shader programs (reshade and the like).
3: Max 3 entries per person!

Entries accepted until I've posted results. I plan to judge entries around July 4th to give everyone 4 weeks of time.

Use the screencap script to help you take that perfect shot!

2018 Scoreboard:
CKid - 2
niffiwan - 1
Nightmare - 1
BTA - 1

Taken from BP:AoA: The Dragon Awakes where Captain Al'Faddil bails your wing out of trouble.

If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

... except it has almost zero movement on the what-FRED-is-calling-Y-axis.

But praise where praise is due to replicate the "arrival from a jumpgate"-shots from the show (when Starfuries would arrive in groups of 3 or 4 from a common jumppoint, often in 2x2 or triangluar formations, falling into a larger formation after deacceleration)

And which picture of allied ships coming to your rescue is taking the prize this week?

tomimaki's amazing B5 Starfury arrival!

I know I say this with every B5 pic that wins, but it looks just like the TV show. But it's just not about the "graphical fidelity" (I mean it is somewhat), but its also about the camera angle and composition of the scene.

I'll also give props to CKid and Asteroth for taking the time to enter the contest this month. (Everyone else, what's your problem!! :p)

Because making good screens takes some time (if you have to set up everything first)  :D

@tomimaki, would you mind me using that shot for TBP on Knossos and the HLP Project's page? Also, there are a few other B5 sites I wouldn't mind showing it off on.

Congrats, tomimaki!

Do we get price when someone manages to recreate the "glowy orbs of sparks" from Season 1? :D

(Everyone else, what's your problem!! :p)

You mean besides the usual right?  :nervous:
