Yes, Darius does have final authority over everything that goes on in BP. Besides, I think that with over 30 missions, WiH will be rather long. While we have no set length for BP3, it will probably be shorter than that.

I just want to see Darius make a campaign against the Shivans that draws upon the BP team's ingenuity and epicness.

For example, the death of the Colossus was a plot related death. The second Sathanas 17 jumped in, big C should have been jumping out. While the plot to seal Capella was smart, we only got to see the tiniest fraction of the massive firefight that was happening at Vega and the Capella-Vega node. Battle of Endor missions are a treat only if they're designed well and have the appropriate build up, and the BP team excels at that. I'd like to see more thoughtful approaches to fighting Shivans. More SOC, more secret projects, more deep space reconnaissance and tactical fleet maneuvering. 

So yeah, I'd like to see the GTVA and UEF scheme and come up with a way to kill the SSJ Dante and take the fight to the Shivans. They've earned their right to survive, and after War in Heaven, I want to see them hammer that point home to the great destroyers.

Shivan forces destroyed in another universe do not count. Whether shivan forces destroyed in the real FS2 verse have an impact, well, you'll just have to see.

If we fight the Shivans, we need a very long campaign and a massive war with bigger ships than the Dante and we need the Gigas too, but it should take place far into the future to enable the Alliance to be much larger and more developed to have a fighting chance.

NOTE: Doing it that way would be just extremely lazy storytelling, which is not what BP is about. So yeah. That's not going to happen.
