When I played freespace2 Alpha 1 dies in the supernova explosion of Cappella. Therefore, Al'faddil cannot possibly be Alpha 1.

I don't recall a place where any member of the BP team has ever said which ending to FS2 with regards to Alpha 1 is canon.

I also don't recall you being on the BP team.

I think the BP team intentionally left out any references to Alpha 1 so that both canon endings for the Freespace 2 campaign are  possible. They may have left in a character who could be Alpha 1.

he's Samuel Bei's commander.  Who was AN alpha one, but not THE alpha one.

Then you have to prove it.

You should never forget that there are multiple Alpha 1's. Due to the fact that every squadron has an Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta wing (and so on)....

No, Al-Fadil is a BP-only creation, he was not present in FS2.

I think you are mixing up Al Fadil with Snipes here. Snipes was (FS2) Alpha 1s wing leader in an SOC mission.
