Problem with Awakenings
I have a strange problem with awakenings. In the first mission, i have only 2 distruptors and ~200 dumbfires aviable. There is nothing monted on my or the wingmens' ships. I can't mount those guns or missiles on the herc, on apollo they worked after selecting them in the mission (no weapon was selected at start - thats why i couldn't use missiles on valkyrie, a dialog popped up telling me "this ship has only one missile bank). I hope you can help me, becouse trying to pass the mission with this crappy setup is a troture.

What are your -mod settings?

Also, try quitting the game, then restarting and creating a new pilot before choosing the Awakenings campaign.

-mod awakenings,fsport,mediavps awakenings is in its separate folder, it was auto installed by turey's installer. Just tried new pilot thing, same effect.

I just loaded Awakenings and it seems to be running just fine.

Have you tried reinstalling the awakenings mod?

Are you using the mod selector or custom flags?

Try running it in debug and post your fs2_open.log.

Just tried downloading it and copying into the fsport directory, same effect. It seems to me this is something messed up in the first mission.

You don't have to load in two times :). Delete the VPs in the fsport Folder.

It's another mod with a different table. Give it an own folder.

1. Just tried it both ways :)

2. Cardinal spear didnt feel like working, i copied it into fsport and it worked fine.

If Cardinal Spear had problems, you should have asked back then.  Cardinal Spear is designed to be able to work this way, but only as a last resort.  It will cause problems with other campaigns if you leave it in the FSPort folder.

I suggest you clean up your mod folders before trying to run Awakenings again.  This is the classic overlapping VPs problem.

figure this was as good a place as any.

invisible vasudan bombers, they have shields but not hulls, when I collapse the shields the blasters .

UPDATE, went into the mod INI file and noticed it's not seeing the right VP's.

will likely be the fix to the issue.

This is a perfect example of why we need a complete, comprehensive installer. One file in the wrong spot and it wreaks a ridiculous amount of havoc, including entirely unpredictable behavior.
