Hi everyone!

I have just come back to FSO since upgrading my HDD. The joystick problems I was having before appear to have been fixed somehow, but now I have encountered a weird bug/glitch thingy with the text to speech narration. It is playing through my TV's speakers, whilst all other sounds, music etc. are playing through the headphones as they should. ???

Any ideas what's causing this and how to fix it?

NB I was using 3.8.0

Well, I haven't managed to fix the problem, but I have found a workaround - plug the headphones into the telly instead of the pc. ;-)

Hi everyone!

I have worked out what was causing the problem. It was nothing to do with the game, it was due to my PC's Text-to-Speech settings having been reset to output to my TV's speakers for some reason. I realised this when using text-to-speech for other things - such as the 13 hr audiobook I am writing. Once I sorted this out via googling it and changing the options in the control panel it worked fine :-)
