Title: Briefing room dialogue wont play.

I downloaded Knossos and regardless of which mod or campaign I play, the briefing room dialogue wont play and I don't have the computer generated audio enabled anywhere.  Is there something I'm missing?

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.
Do you hear other sounds from the game? This might be obvious but just to make sure... is the pause button on the briefing screen activated?

There's the log.  All other in game sound are fine, it's just the briefing room dialogue.  It just doesn't play, paused or not.
