two problems with my textures.
1. I get the model UV'd, and I bake the texture. Save the image. Export as dae and go into pcs expecting to at least see the baked texture, and I see the model (lod's are good), but no texture, and no texture attached to the model. IN pcs2 under textures, there is nothing. I add one, and then tell it the image to use, and guess what happens. Nothing. I reload textures, notihng. Save the pof, close pcs2, open pcs2, load pof....nothing. pof is in models, map is in maps, using blender 2.64. When you try to help me get my texture attached to the model, please, dumb down the conversation, I am new to this.
2. Is there a step by step tut for going from UV to textured in gimp? The gimp thread is filled with tips and tricks, but I don't know where to start.

Texture functionality in PCS2 is very limited - adding and removing textures there is not advisable. Your best bet is to reload the UVed model in Blender, re-apply the generated texture, and re-export. Otherwise, post the model and someone will take a look.

you may have solved the problem. How do I apply the texture?
-
No idea. :| You'll need a Blender user for that part.

Can someone else tell m ehow to apply the texture to the model? Blender 2.64

- In Blender's 3D viewport, is the texture actually shown on the model if you go to textured view? (Alt-Z.)
- Do you have any materials in the .blend file? Normally you shouldn't; for baked-texture ships (for which materials are needed) I usually save a separate copy of the .blend, delete all materials, and then export this copy to DAE.
- Which Collada exporter settings are you using? Look to the left of the choose-file pane.

There are many many many texturing tutorials out there... Try Google :P

Triple thanks to FSF - I wasn't having this problem, but your stuff in a dozen other threads (that I don't want to necro) has been really useful to me over the past year or so.

Why, you're welcome all :)
