Blue Planet 2 War in Heaven Act 3 has a nice music. Very nice music in the initial intro and at the end of the final intro.
Somewhere there is a chance to find this soundtrack for Blue Planet 2 War in Heaven Act 3, or print out a list of songs? Thank you.

There's a nice tool called qvp which lets you extract the game files. It's not exactly a secret...
-
A few tracks for act 3 were made by me and can be found here: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=83356.0

Get VPView32 and use it to open freespace2/blueplanet2/bp2-audio1.vp The files should be in .ogg format.

The music files should be in there.
Yeah, belisarius I forgot you were the one who made the music for this release. Blue Planet music is generally in good taste as these tracks fit the mood very well.

Thanks

What is the Dreamscape music? What do the words say? Is it in the credits? Because I couldn't find it. :(
-
Dreamscape music is a nasheed set to a custom track. This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z_YDa3XakA) is the original nasheed, with an English translation of the words.
-
The intro music is the trailer music from Deus Ex HR

Thank you. Okay so I see this "Darkside" pop up here and there. What is it? I've got some "Dan Wentz - Darkside (Darius Mix).mp3" which is I guess what's mixed into the nasheed, but I can't find any Darkside by Dan Wentz. Really curious.
-
Closest thing to a Dan Wentz - "Darkisde" I found was this Track (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZNSXKZ1JWI) from Descent: Freespace - The Great War.
I think that's the original.

That soundtrack owns.
Nasheed2 is titled "Sunglare (Darkside version)", but I see little similarity to the above song. I guess it gets that name from being much creepier than the original.
-
Aha, I can't believe I missed that. Yes, that is definitely the theme in "Sunglare (Darkside version)." (But I guess you have to wait until 1:48 to actually hear it. And then it stays on 'til the end of the piece.)
-
You're right. *facepalms* It is heavily altered, though.
-
Yep. Darius, show the "original remix." :P
It has, I think, all the themes from Darkside in it.

Not my best work, but it laid the foundation for the nasheed remix.

For some reason that reminds me of platform games.

Not sure if this is necro, but i'm wondering where the friendly arrival music for tsfhbattle comes from. I know the enemy arrival is taken from Dark Freeways, but the other one I don't know. It's not in the credits, either.
-
Friendly arrival is from Two Steps From Hell - Shoot To Kill (instrumental) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBwk6UzFK2Y)
Interestingly enough, Dark Freeways uses drums from Two Steps From Hell - Desert Runner (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na6MIjo3XxM)

Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone knew the music that plays during mission 20 when you engage MacDuff's destroyer? Is it one of Belisarius' tracks, or is it from somewhere else?

I'm sorry if this isn't the place to ask this, but...
I use VPVIEW32 to listen to the soundtrack of Blue Planet, but... how do I download it to mp3 format? I wanna jam to your awesome soundtracks everywhere.
-
I don't think it's available in mp3 format. If you wanted to you could probably extract the .ogg's from the VPs then convert them to mp3, but you'll lose quality that way. Having said that, .ogg is fairly widely supported, is there a particular reason you want mp3's?
-
I would want them for the simple fact that the Windows Phone I have does not play .OGGs... for some reason.
No, the phone wont be changed, it was a gift.
No, I wont waste money on more phones.
I use audacity to convert them, personally.
-
Is there a particular reason you want mp3's?
I played and beat the main campaign, and I wanted to be able to listen to the soundtrack whenever I'm walking around.
-
Yeah - I just copied the .oggs to my phone. If like An4ximandros your portable music device of choice doesn't play .oggs then you'll need to convert them to .mp3 yourself. Per An4ximandros's suggestion, Audacity should be able to do that.

No need to download them from the internet. Just use VPVIEW32 to open the soundtrack of BP, select the track you want, and then click on the "Extract to dir" button just above the list. Once you've got the file, try using this program here: http://oggtomp3converter.com/ to get them to MP3. So far, I haven't noticed any drop in quality.
