Title: Ati hd 5870 white texture flickering on texture litghtening

Hello guys,
I have a problem...
In FSO  (freespace 2 campaign) I have a bug that i can see on the training four, when the first ennemy appears it has a lot of texture white flashing.
After some research and test with people from irc I come to you to solve that prob.

My drivers are up to date, i tried to put a lot of old dll in the fs2 directory it dosn't change anything (or dosen't launch at all)
The only way to "fix" this issue is to check disable shader in the troubleshoot section from the launcher... But the game is not so pretty...

Is there someone with this graphic card having the same issue or solved it?

This might be what you are looking for. Drop this in your Freespace 2 folder. It fixed all of my ATI woes. Hope it helps.

@rscaper1070 : The file you give me makemy game bug... it's not launching... jut an error : freespace 2 as ancountered problem and must close... What is your GPU?

@Satellight : Yes that s exactly my prob... But if the file is the one we can find in the FAQ it dosn't  do anything...

 :wtf: Did you put it in your mediavps_3612 directory ? The FAQ talk about the mediavps with no precision. And yes it's the ma-sdr file I used to fix my problem (I own an HD 5850).

Yes i unrar it in the mediavps_3612 folder... nothing change...  :(

Maybe I enable something in ati catalist control or in the launcher option i souldnt...

It works now...
After trying to expand all dl_ from driver installer and seing no one worked I just start to reinstall completely  driver...
It seems 10.4 works... issue disapear... only prob.. recent game wont work as well...

So ineed to find a way to make those drivers live together...

Copy the atioglx.dll from the 10.4 install, place it in your Freespace2 dir.
Install newer drivers.

FSO will use the .dll in it's dir.

Already tryied without sucess. When i do that with an older version than 10.10 the game doesn't launch...
