A video-game winning an arts award.
Suck on that, Ebert.
Oh, and sounds pretty damn nice, too. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNKHJHwRwXE&hd=1)

A video game song won an grammy?
De World, she be endin' mon!
It's really good. But not as good as some other's I've heard. Deionarra's Theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZOuy4YM0AI) comes to mind.

I've heard some betters too. I geuss that the judges have a fondness of Lion King :P.

These days? They're probably trying to be politically correct or something. Trying to prove they don't just pick music sung by skinny white girls who don't wear clothes. Though I'm probably being a tad cynical. Still it is recognition of something we've know for years, there's a lot of really good music that doesn't even get looked at because it's in a video game.

They considered this specific song because it was released in an album.
Video game songs that aren't released in albums aren't considered.

I love that Song :)
I often have it run, while I clean my apartment :)
-
I read somewhere that the song is on swahili and is basicly "Our Father who art in heaven".
