DarthWang, noodle. Personally I'm not entirely sure if noodle == DarthWang, but this Moon Man fellow seemed very much like DarthWang. Who apparently has some physiological condition that makes him hate WoD. I mean I can appreciate it that not every one likes everything, but once he got going, he'd just badmouth WoD like there was no tomorrow, without even making any decent arguments about his opinions.

I'm not a big fan of anime myself, but I'm getting a little bit tired of attitudes displayed by certain members of this Site who, rather than simply not play the campaign and leave it to people who do want to, instead go out of their way to insult, berate and attack campaigns based on their own self-proclaimed ignorance of the content of it.

Personally, I'm in favour of stating that anyone who attacks a Campaign based on its theme, rather than the actual content of the campaign itself may well find themselves looking at warnings and/or a ban and that infantile attacks on the staff of a campaign will simply make matters worse.

Edit: Having read through Noodles' posts, I will state that I don't think he is really so much of an 'enemy' as just someone who didn't enjoy the campaign. DarthWang, however, has been going out of his way to be abusive.

Am trying to decide whether to move this to the Moderators forum, which seems more appropriate place to discuss the problem...

Though it is difficult, I will try to keep my arsenal of insults out of here. I believe that people should speak their opinions, but they should keep it at a mature level.

If you play it and don't like it, and wish to voice that opinion, then do so in a polite and respectful manner for the work that has been put in. If you have no wish to play it, or don't like the theme, then leave it alone and join in with one of the vast numbers of other campaigns currently on the go that more appeals to your tastes

Hey, you don't have to tell me . If I remember correctly, those two posts I made in that troll-project thread were the first time I ever used any word worse than "stupid" on any internetforum. Which just goes to show just how badly he pissed me off, if he made me break a more than 10 year old habit of staying polite in almost all cases and never using swear words.

The reason why I did not immediately locked the topic was to keep the questions on what happened in there. Moving this to the moderator forum just moves it out of sight and will leave the other posters in the dark on what happened.

Noodles was definitely beyond the point of 'just not enjoying the campaign'. When you go out of the way to make a topic to throw insults like

And all drawn in that particular misguided weeaboo style that thinks that just throwing in big eyes and brightly colored hair makes it look authentically Japanese. It doesn't, and it looks terrible.

Some nice mission design in there, I appreciate all the new ships and weapons, but it's all covered in a layer of the worst kind of anime fandom that I just couldn't get past.

Looking at this other posts, this is one of the persons who is actually the worse misguided part of 'anime fandom'. The kind who is elitist and 'only watches mature shows for mature people such as my self'. Hating on people for not sharing his 'good taste', basically telling them that there is no fun allowed and 'how dare you enjoy things I do not like'. A week later he then told BP his 'not trolling' opinion that stupid things are stupid and that BP's portrayal of the GTVA as aggressors is 'frankly retarded'. Noodles had clear mental issues that prevented him from enjoying mods/campaigns that did not live up to his impossible standards.

Now Darthwang... ooooh Darthwang.
Angry and without friends, he could not fathom that throwing personal insults at someone did not qualify as 'constructive feedback'. What's worse, he even got banned from the forum despite his best intentions! The anger! HLP would woe the day they banned DARTHWANG! How could these plebians not understand that anime is the blight that destroys the world?! 
But... how would he accomplish his revenge? Long did the smoldering embers of rage eat away at his mind. Until suddenly, he had it! He would spend hours of his lone existence to change every briefing, debriefing and message into an insult. This would surely show that imbecile of a Spoon the error of his ways! 

But then his release post got edited, his links deleted and his alt. account swiftly banned. And the only person who saw his revenge was Norbert. All those hours spend on his perfect revenge, wasted! Denied! Just like that!

I'd almost feel sorry for the guy. Almost.

I must say I'm slightly suprised that putting out a free mod for people to play can invoke so much hatred in a person. It's not like I took his money and prevented him from just uninstalling the game and to play something else. Must be some kind of (as Jeff Vader put it) physiological condition indeed.

I'm all for criticism on my works. I love to hear feedback on what was good and what was not. I also wouldn't have minded a real parody poking fun at the bad things of WoD. Alas, instead I was shown this drivel.

It's not either or, it's both.
Among other things Spoon was repeatedly insulted pretty badly, pilots where calling each other charming things like "*****" and "****" and it also specifically insulted the people posting in the "Ask a crewmember" thread. Everyone was constantly complaining about how the campaign sucked and how happy they are about dying in the next mission, because that way it's over for them.

One of my "favourites" was the message informing you, that you may jump out in the 2nd mission, reading something along the lines of "You can go home you Dickhead" directed at the player.

And all that in just the first two missions, after which I deleted the whole thing and placed my... less than polite reply in the other, now locked thread.



Oh and Spoon, that was very eloquently put. It made me giggle a bit in some places, even though it is a rather sad topic.

And as for what was released here, it wasn't a campaign, it was some immature little dick changing the text files to another persons' work, no originality, simply abuse and as far as I'm concerned, it's always open season on stuff like that.
