Energy/plasma torpedo

I am looking to make a new vasudan anti capship weapon, just to give a bit more diveresity between the races. So for the vasudans I am wanting to give them an energy/plasma torpedo as a backup in case they loose their beam weapons. I am wanting it to be targetable like bombs. So would the easiest way to do it to make a normal secondary weapon, but give it an invisible texture and use particles as the weapon effect? Or is there another way to do it?

for secondary weapons just like you would make them for primaries. Just make sure you have no Model File specified anymore.

Ah cool, I didn't know you could do that with secondaries.

Trivial Psychic:
Don't you remember the original Shivan Super Laser?  It was nothing but a dumbfire secondary with a huge trail.

Nightmare:
The SSL was always a primary, even back in FS1.
