Next weekend is fine with me. How about next Saturday evening, 6/3/06?

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
I think either one of the Dogfights would be good (the official four level pack or the one karx11erx made; confusingly both have the same name), or maybe the Panic 10 level set. We have tried those before and they have worked pretty well.

We need to also remember to disable the reactor and just impose a time or kill limit instead. There were some problems the last time we played where the reactor exploding would cause things to go out of sync for everyone.

It might also be a good idea to disable the omega and earthshaker for most maps. Those screwed up the balance quite a bit in our previous games. :p

Hurrah!  Glad to hear that it's working again!  *General happiness* :)
Next weekend sounds great for a game, and I'm free anytime from Thursday to Sunday.

Ulala:  Kali is an internet game browser, and a lot of the hardcore Descent players use it for multiplayer games.  You can find it here:  http://www.kali.net/
I was thinking that if we couldn't get D2X-XL to work again, then we could try using Kali instead.  Looks like that wont be neccessary anymore though.

As for maps, I'm good with anything that doesn't have teleporters.  I'll look into some maps later and see if I can suggest any additional ones for us to play on.

Anyway, great to have this running again and hope to play with y'all real soon. :D

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
I'm pretty free, so whatever time gets scheduled, I should be able to make without trouble.

Yeah, disabling the reactor is a good idea, time or kill limit. I like the Panic series cause there's 10 levels it can cycle through (which is nice when I throw up a server for a few days). And also, the omega and earth shaker can easily make things a lot less fun, lol.  :p

Might we try entropy or CTF again as well?

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
I am free at pretty much any time of the day except 1:00 AM - 4:00 AM and 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM in GMT (during which I'm asleep).

Although there was a power outage today and it strangely seems to have killed the power supply in my main computer. :( I'll have a replacement tomorrow, but if anything else is damaged then it might take me several days to get everything up and running. I will try to have everything fixed by the weekend though.

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
It looks like the rest of the computer is okay. I plugged the PSU from my other machine into it and it seems to work fine. That's a huge relief, although I'll still need to spend an hour redoing all the neat cabling I had done. :p

By the way, I have been replaying all my collected D2 singleplayer levels during the last two weeks and the name of the 10th level in the Vertigo mission set caught my eye yesterday. It's called Citadel Station. :D

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
Sounds fun. I was going to try to make a multiplayer map pack thing to go with the base files so everyone could easily just download and play, but then people lost interest/new versions came out that didn't work. That one should already be in there I imagine.

How about 10:00 PM GMT.

Isn't it about 4:00 AM where you are CP?

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
Right now? It's 1:13 AM here.

10:00 GMT would work fine. I am mainly free during the night (here), but that time would still give me around three hours to play.

I concur with 22:00 GMT.

If we get 4 people (hopefully Ulala joins us), then we ought to try CTF/Entropy again. :D

Should've posted times when you'd be available

We can schedual it different next time. I was wondering the same thing BTW, last night at 7:00am GMT.

Who's hosting? Can we count on Ulala hosting?

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
I'm not sure. I can probably host if necessary.

We could just do this in two installments if anyone can't come this time. I am free pretty much the entire night here. (actually, I have a lot more time in the night than now)

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
Should we move it down to 3:00AM (GMT), or just have one now and one later? It's fairly obvious that several people aren't currently available, or have one even later.

Re: semi-sub-offitial hlp super happy descent 2 multiplayer action!
1:00 AM is unfortunately too late/early for me. Although I could leave up a game if the rest of you want to play at that time.

In the past we used to start the games around 4:00 or 5:00 AM GMT and play for three or four hours. That seemed to work out for everyone before and might also allow those of you in Europe to join in the morning there.
