Long time offline FS2 player. Got the game at CompUSA on a Florida trip shrinkwrapped in a bundle with Total Annihilation for $9.99.

Shoulda been selling for $99.99 with how awesome those two games are.

Stoked to see what everyone has done with the game - I played a few mods (derlict) about 10 years ago and had a blast.

Very new to the idea of online? Any co-op? I'm a bit too intimidated by PvP.

Certainly.  There are several variants of multi games available.  More if you download the multi mission pack through the FSO Installer.

Multi games are somewhat uncommon but it's not that hard to get some people interested in joining you.  Ask around on IRC (see the top navbar under HLP for IRC links) and see if anyone's up for a game.  Be advised that you may have to plan the game somewhat in advance rather than just hopping on and finding people.  But this can vary.
