or I Like Large Gas Mining Canisters and I Can Not Lie

Things still up in the air:
The bands around the rotating mining part, might do something so its not so bland
The top front part could do with some more detailing still

Also have a bonus Shivan theory:

Looking really good.

Where is the rotating element supposed to start? I think it'd look really cool if the cannister and the arms spun, but the 6 fins/plates near the joint stayed static.

Holy **** that is good. I was thinking of tackling that one once I finished the comm node but what you have done here is pure awesome. I need to step my game up on the comm node then, don't know if I can do it but well played sir well played indeed.

Yep, that's how it was on the retail model, so it'll be like that here too.

The model looks jaw-droppingly amazing! Looking forward to putting all kinds of holes in it. Keep up the awesome work!

One thing I never quite got about this model was how the spinning worked. When I look at it (IIRC in the F3 lab) it would rotate in a stop-and-go fashion. Can anyone explain to me how that works?

I have no complaints whatsoever.  Plus, the fact that all of the Shivan ships are now getting love means that we'll have an entire HTL armada (or close to it) by the end of the release cycle.  :D

Know what else could be cool? Spinny stuff inside the cylinder rotating in the opposite direction. Kinda like the bars in the AWACS.

Theory as to why the canister would rotate on the gas miner:

Allow more efficient separation of the necessary elements into individual components. Imagine that there are any number of comb/filters on the inside that allow for the processing of intake material to sift out unwanted impurities.

As well, if any artificial gravity is involved, you can use the motion to apply a vortex style compression to the materials to pressurize it, and combine that with the volatile nature of the materials is why the massive explosive damage.

Hey,
I've been trying to add some docking points for fighters to the upgraded Rahu-model, as I want to use it in a stealth mission (basically so the player can tell just how things will turn out if stealth is broken), however once I add the Rahu in FRED the locations for the dock points are off from where they are supposed to be.

Anyone know why?

Not sure if it's the cause but the Rahus model is located at 0.0:-2.122785:25.786194 maybe FS2 or FRED does something wrong there.
