Title: FS1: Brief1.wav - extended
Post by: Joey_X on August 30, 2008, 05:00:09 pm
It always used to bother me how the second repeat of the main melody was abruptly cut off with that ending part in Brief1.wav so I got bored and threw together a slightly extended version of the song. I think it turned out decent.

Thoughts?

Although I've never heard that FS1 music, I can tell where it usually would end (just), and the new ending is better. Did you just use a loop sample from another part of the song to make that?

Yes. I had to work out the tempo of the song but that was fairly simple. Once I had the tempo it was easy to precisely calculate one whole loop and mix it with another part of the song.

Nice. Pity the original quality of the audio file wasn't that good, since it's quite a good soundtrack.

Truth. I had an idea of redoing the song by ear in Fruity Loops but I lost the patience with the piano roll that FL has to offer. Perhaps sometime later.
