Journey's End Weirdness
Just finished another playthrough of AoA, testing out the new Shivan enemies, giving the Draco a spin. However, some odd things came up in Universal Truth / Journey's End...

1: In both missions, the Draco's HUD icon shows up as the old Draco model

2: Upon starting Journey's End, I switched to external view and noted that both of the Draco's lower wings were missing. Is this simply due to damage in UT, or actually a bug? (note: I don't know if they were there at the end of UT or not)

3: I opened comms>ships just for fun and noted "Ged" in the list. As his orders were enabled, I ordered him to form on my wing as if he were one of my own fighters, which something tells me is not intentional. I loaded Journey's End with the latest nightly (see below) and he didn't appear, but that may or may not mean anything.

This was run on the Nov. 3rd Rev. 0ea25e7 build, with the 2nd most up-to-date advanced graphics. There may have been an issue with the advanced VPs, as the installer would try to patch them every time it was run, despite just having patched them. I've since manually downloaded the up-to-date advanced VPs and it seems satisfied.

I'd test all the above with the latest nightly and advanced graphics, but I don't know how to reproduce the previous circumstances with the Draco without replaying all of AoA...

[Log from latest debug nightly included for VP checksums, advanced graphics have been updated to latest]

Re: Journey's End Weirdness
We don't have a new shield icon.

The Draco's wings are animated, and they ought to fold in when you afterburn and out when not, but maybe they got stuck.

The Ged issue is just a FRED oversight.

Re: Journey's End Weirdness
Good to hear there's nothing overly wrong then (though the wings getting stuck is interesting). All that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of the Draco and the specialist Shivan wings. Former made it a lot easier to distribute glorious Kayser firepower, while the latter really spiced up the Vishnan missions. Solid work on the AoA changes really.
