Recently I suffered a nasty virus attack and had to wipe my hard drive (I saved all my missions and mod data, thank god.) However, after reinstalling FSOpen I got the infamous "can't find OpenAL32.dll" error. I downloaded it, and now it says "The procedure entry point alcGetString could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenAL32.dll."

I remember having this problem last time, I just can't remember how I fixed it. For the sake of expediency, anyone know what's going on?

EDIT: Nevermind, downloaded a bad DLL. Problem solved. By the way, I'm an idiot in case anyone was wondering

Normally you don't download the dll, you download the OpenAL installer.  If you didn't, I highly suggest removing whatever dll you downloaded and getting the OpenAL Installer for Windows found on that page.  Also someone can mod this solved.

Install Diaspora.

Yeah, I'm joking but if you planned to do it anyway it would solve the issue for you. If not, I can't really recommend a 1.3GB download for a file only a few MB in size (if that!).

I have the oalinst file on the indiegames server, link should be in the last couple of SCP release posts (3.7.0 or 3.7.2 RC1).
