but I downloaded the new version of the port as well as ST:R and put them in their own seperate mod folders and in trying to launch either I get this

Smells like vp corruption, go re-DL this one. You also seem to lack most of the other required vps. Release thread is here

It is VP corruption. Your VP checksum of 0xa11d56f1 doesn't match what it should be, 0x09e704a7.

That combined with the fact there were more core files than I thought. I'm going to bed now although I ran into a peculiar bug and will post up a log if required. Playing the first mission of ST:R the Isis transports are invisable and shots go right through them.  Their model and the faustus model don't show up in the tech lab either.

I don't understand what that "if" is doing in that sentence. When debugging, a debug log is always required.
