Multiplayer connection suggestion

I know multiplayer is screwy anyway, but I still used to play using the default 3.6.5 exe file, some time before the 3.6.6 VPs came out... but I didn't like it, because I couldn't see all the games that the website showed. Would there be some way of programming an IP connect function like can be found in the console of most new MP games?
Wh00t!? Vinyl? Is it like an I-pod 2 or something?

Go into options, then go to multiplayer...on the top left there's a list of IP addresses, you can add one in there and the game will show up in the list.
