Well, I've downloaded the mod, and must sey top notch, loved the GTVa designs though I am not sure if the fully fit with their design philosophies  (I mean, compare them to say the Deimos class)
Still cool.
Initially I had the no visible guns issue, found the thread here and did the fix. all cool/ except now I am on the first mission and my ships are, well, unarmed.
no guns or missiles. grant you not an issue on the first mission, but if this keeps going on...

In the tech database I am only seeing the basic armaments, you know, the subach(terran and vasudan eversions), SoG, the tempest missile and the rockeye

Any ideas how to solve this? as a final note, I did the installation though the java installer.

For the design: In FS2 there Terrans ans Vasudans each build their own ships.
Later in the campaign you hear pilot chatter like "You can say about the Vasudans what you want, but they know how to build a reactor that lasts" or "You can thank the Vasudans for the design", which made me think this is no longer the case with the new GTVA vessels in Blue Planet.

Did you start the campaign with a new pilot? If you still have no weapons in subsequent missions, try creating another pilot and start the campaign again.

Otherwise check for any rogue tbl files in your fs2 directory that may be messing up weapons listings.
