After receiving your opinions on our demo, we're working on rebalancing the gameplay, tweakin the weapons/ships etc. - however, we require pilots to test the new craft and avoid the new weapons, to see if we managed to bring balance to the Force or not.

Bad puns aside, if you'd like to do some testing for us, please contact me, it would be highly appreciated.

but in case the rest of the crew does: I'm (needless to say) an veteran beta tester (doing endless testing for wod and having done quite a bit of testing for BP, VD and JAD). I can provide you people with a lot of insight and constructive critcism (not the darthwang kind). But I will hold you guys up to the BP/WoD standard, so if what I am seeing is of the syrk demo kinda level, then expect a LOT of heavy feedback.

Oh, I apologize for not getting around earlier, the last few days were a little bit hectic. Thanks for your offering! I am setting up subforum and SVN access as we speak.

This is all jolly good but keep in mind that we're currently fiddling around with balancing issues, despite having most of the missions FREDded already, so this is not (yet) your classic testing.

for a balance tester does the tester in question need to have something like experience equivalent to spoon's level of expertise?

Unlikely, it's useful for them to have a range of people skill wise, from the very good to the very bad, and people who play on different difficulties, and then people who have various experience levels with the game engine and projects made by the community.
Though I can't speak for them, if you think you can give them the time and you genuinely want to, go for it with enthusiasm

I doubt that you need excessive knowledge of the engine for balance testing, heck, I'd say even I don't know that much about it. Welcome aboard! Details in PM.
