How comes, there is no thread about it ? I played it, and it's actually not that bad. :)
But only if you get it to run. If you have an ATI-Card, you are pretty ****ed, and it will give you quite a Rage before you can play Rage :lol:
Once you get it to run, it's actually really funny. The FPS makes fun, sounds great and the enemies are pretty challing when storming on you and making evasions like a rabbit. Unfortunately, it's a little short (25 hours playtime), and not really open world. But the mix of racing and shooting is really fun.
Good about it :
Nice Endtime World
Interesting and good created characters
At some places amazing textures and locations
Excellent sounds
Bad about it :
Bad PC portation, extrem graphic problems that first need be figured out. Also it looks, like they have 2 different graphic departments working on the game. One with specialists, that created excellent textures, and another one with only office helpers, that create crappy blurry textures.
Really dissapointing for me was only, that the numbers of locations (and therefore the gamelength) is atm limited, and you often receive quests that simply bring you back into locations you already cleared out once. Just a few obstacles and new enemies will be put in.
Not really open World, and limited.
Not the best story, bad ending.
I guess, the company will now first bring out some DLC's to collect more money, and then hopefully modding tools and a community follows. It would be great to have more places to explore.

I have a HD4890 and didn't have any problems running it.

HD5850 and I had no problems running it. I was tossed a config by a friend as well and it ran well. My impressions were of a pretty good game, with a rushed second half (Seriously, once you reach the 2nd Hub....), but the botched release has really screwed iD over

I have a Radeon 5670, and had major problems. Same goes for a lot of people over at the Steam forums. Certainly not ALL ATI users had problems of course, but it turned out that only few people with NVIDIA Cards had problems.. I also have to use a fan created config file to make it run properly. The sad thing for me is just, that i can only use the 4096 textures, but that's ok for me.
And yes, I was also dissapointed that the second half was so short :(
