I suddenly have an idea...

Use the Alternate Name tag in FRED to get two different ships with the same name. Would that work? 

LoL, I can only imagine a mission where you're in a Herc II and suddenly you see the enemy also flying Herc II's... but they look so different... both sides of the battle would probably go

The other way to go about it would be to use the same technique as was used to create 2 EASD Nemesis super-destroyers with the same name.  In the ships table file, add an unrecognized character to the end of its name.

I'm gonna sound like a total noob for asking this, but how do you type high-ASCII characters? I have asked this over.... and over....and over again and NO ONE seems to be able to give me a straight answer!

I wanted to use the copy-of-ship technique once, so I looked into the Inferno mission which used it, in Wordpad and copied the character, then pasted it into the mission I wanted, which I'd also opened in Wordpad.

Open Notepad, hold down Alt, and type a number between 128 and 255.

If Alliance is still missing a Shivan destroyer, may I suggest a reskinned Cernunnos? I was looking around and I found it used to be in Inferno, and I saw a render of it somewhere and it looked pretty good except for the skins.

Hmmm, Woo, I was looking at screenshots and came across the picture of the Athena in the lab. At the bottom of the list it says 'GTD Adamanthea'. Is that the Fenris-mapped Orion? Or something else?

Oh, and will it be in Alliance?

You'll see that in a later mission. It's not the fenris style one, I already said that was just a test of the maps.

She/he/it has escaped this summer.Probably he/she/it is devastating the little river 50 mts from my house,eating every damned form of life.
He/she/it was a North American turtle,I watched someone in TV talking about them.Once they are free,they can kill most life forms.
