Title: Where do profiles 'live'?

Ok, second stoopid question - where do pilot profiles 'live'? Since the MOT / Upgrade / thingthatscrewedthingsup my old pilot profile has disappeared. Is it hiding somewhere or is it gone forever? Not a huge problem either way, but If I can avoid having to rebind all the controls all over again it would be handy :-)

should be it on Windows
