Apparently it's not really that important to destroy the greatest ever threat to the GTA since the destruction of the lucifer, compared to the loss of the PVC Thebes, despite the fact that I also protected the Vasudan installation (3% hull, but alive).

So yeah. Bug.

Eh?  How'd you manage this?

No idea. It stopped shooting its beams at the installation, I couldn't kill its beam cannons, so I just wandered around, killed all its non invulnerable turrets and then lett he ursas deal with the big-ship shenanigans. Boom, no more hades, and an angry debrief. I think command secretly wanted the Hades for themselves or something

Wow.  I actually FREDded the mission so that the Hades would fire its beams more than actually necessary to destroy the Karnak even if no bombers touched it at all during the mission.  So something was causing the beams to do a lot less damage than they were supposed to.

What skill level did you play at, and what build did you use?

Sorted it out with Goober over IRC. A combination of an old version of the mission and me being awesome. In any case, I now have the latest version, and look forward to the death of a vasudan installation very soon
