Here, then, is the definitive list of what's going into the FSPort media VP: upgraded models and textures. It's already assumed that all textures have basic shine and glow maps. It's broken down by race and class so you can see at a glance
what's been finished, what's in progress or partially completed, and what's not been touched. If you're looking for something to do, pick one that nobody's working on yet.
- NAME: A link to the development thread. Post screenshots, comments, and updates specific to that ship there. The mods will monitor the forum and add links and update the list appropriately.
- MESH: A high-poly mesh, with smoother curves and more details. Fighters and bombers may include cockpit models.
- GLOWPOINTS: An old or new model may have glowpoints on it. Yellow indicates there are no glowpoints, but it might be fine without them.
- UV MAP: Having your mesh use as few textures as possible is more important than adding detail. Some older high-poly models (such as the Orion) need to be baked, and all new ones should.
- TEXTURES: The original 256x256 8-bit PCX textures can be made larger and more detailed, with carefully designed glow and shine maps to match. Even an old model can look better with sharper, cleaner and better maps.
- NORMAL MAP: This new functionality greatly improves the appearance of every texture.

WEAPONS- NAME: Not all weapons are represented, as some are clones (Hornet and Hornet#weak), some can share the same effect (Fusion Mortar and Vasudan Flux), and some are simply not used (Targeting Laser.)
- TECH: Whether a high-poly loadout model or interface art exists. Only for player weapons.
- FX: Whether a new weapon effect set has been made, or if an upgraded in-game model exists (for missiles.)
