1. Well the fiction is just following the actual Homeworld fiction.
2. There would be no dev status or plans (Classified Level Omega, and it's plans without a i)
3. If we can recruit more people then we certainly can.
4. Well what's the point of not putting something new in it? That's what people want.
5. Tough question...all I can tell you is that it would be related to Homeworld (duh)

We may or we may not possibly not not have it somewhat partially working. That's all I'm authorized to say. But the fact that I responded to your post within like 15 minutes should tell you something about the activity level of the project.

in short, yes, we have a working warpin. in long, yes it works, but its not yet bug-free. testing should be underway.

Because the mod involves more than just ships?

point being we need modelers. we have one (me) who made a single model in his... year and a half with the mod approximately. yes. i suck as a modeler. but we got things back up into running. as it looks now... we might even have a release of sorts around summer. no definites, so dont kill me if we dont release it then.

if nothin else, expect screenies as soon as we get the warpin effects working properly.

Might I suggest seeking help from some of the Homeworld 2 mod teams? I'm sure some of them wouldn't mind a chance to model some ships that don't have to conform to that game's fairly low poly limit.

For that matter, is it possible to directly port the models from the original game? I know they wouldn't hold up well in a flight-sim environment, but it's a start.

People, please drop the meaningless discussion here. the actual ships fromthe game are in our files for now, but i doubt that they will be used in the game itself. If we manage to find more modelers. And you're looking at things from a purely aestethic view. Which is useless. If you have anything else to ask, ask away. If you want to bother us, get out please.

And just to drive the final nail in the case of models. Most of the models would work pretty well as they are pretty much good, since they actually look much better with just some better textures.

The man has also released working builds of a mod. Over 2 dozen in fact. A pretty damn extensive and impressive mod I add. Which is more than I can say for you guys. Yes, I know I'm being a douche, but if you're going to insult another modder, then the gloves are off for me as well.
