OMFG, Sweeet, Poor old Admiral Wolfe. may he RIP.
-
I belive it was just "Admiral Wolf" I think he was the best CO Alpha 1 ever had, wasn't as downbeat as Shima, and wasn't as naive as Petrach, and less ambigous then Wallace or... whoever the Soyakaze's Admiral was
-
That's a terrific shot. Is that just pure FS2 screenshot goodness, no HDRish or other editing done on it?

I'm certain there was an E on the end, you're right though He was the most straight up, take no bull CO in the series.

From the debriefing text of sm2-10a.FSM ("Doomsday"):
$Multi text
Many lives were saved by the Hermes escape pods. For that we are thankful. But we mourn the loss of Admiral Wolf. He was a great commander and he died with the ship he loved.
All surviving pilots are reassigned to the GTD Bastion. Though we all lost friends on the Galatea, there is no time to mourn the dead. The fate of the Alliance is grim.

:)
Edit: I also love this line from one of the possible outcomes:
$Formula: ( not
( is-destroyed-delay 0 "Galatea" )
)

You fled the most important battle of your career. The Galatea has been lost and the people of Vasuda Prime are doomed.
Such cowardice is unconscionable. You are permanently grounded.

At least make an attempt to save the Galatea!

Who in their right mind would just randomly jump out during the mission before the action was over? Talk about being self-centered...
-
I want to know where the Galatea's squadrons were, there were 96 combat craft on the Galatea, why were only (what was it... five?) used?
-
Space is a big theatre of battle, As a flagship i'd imagine the Galataes squadrons were probably mustered to support the other cruisers and what-not.
(Surely the ORiFFice cant be the only croosa?)
-
The Orff is everyones favorite cruiser though.
-
Its the first thing you see outside of flightschool in the FS saga.
-
I remember playing the demo, seeing it and thinking "Woa! That thing is big!" :D

Thats straight out of the game, the only editing I did was remove "OMG We arn't gonna make it" from the top.
-
I have to admit, in a rather random addition, I'm still blown away by the quality of the HTL Orion.
-
I agree it's a really really good quality model.
