I'm on the mission where you scan several Shivan ships before they warp, and you end with scanning the Lucifer. The game took away my ability to warp out, and I scanned everything except for the last part...

Where the heck's the docking bay on the Lucifer?

This is a bug in the Port.  The mission doesn't detect the location of the docking bay correctly.  For the time being, you'll just have to fly around and hope it randomly triggers.

Assuming it can;t be fixed, why not just eliminate that objective?

I found that if you go to the front end of the lucifer, near one of the fore arms, it will bring in Ranma.
