For me, I could fly through them.

Additionally, Beam cannons, and Primary weapons went right through. Dumb-fire missiles (i.e. Tempests) also went through. (All doing no damage. I think...)

Lock Aquiring Missiles did detonate on 'impact' and, curiously, Flak weapons also seemed to do damage.

Well, now I don't remember, and can't check again. (I'm at work)
I think I collided with the Fenris.
But when I fired on the Fenris, there was no impact from the Promethius or the missiles.
Furthermore, the Fenris always kept at 100%

In the FSPort, for those two missions? Perhaps.
Because in the non-ST stuff works just fine. And in the ST mission where you have to escort a Fenris and two Chronos, the model works.
I didn't finish to check the whole FS2 Campaign to see if in other place fails.

Does a similar problem happen with the Lilith?  I can't see why using the same model for two ships would cause a problem, but it obviously isn't something wrong with the model or textures if the Fenris variant works.
who needs a signature? ;)

have you mantised this bug yet?

Nope.
I didn't know if this is a FSPort bug. If so, it should not be posted on the Mantis.

By the way, what's the conclusion? Is not a FSPort bug, is it?

If you are using the SCP, and the Fenris model works, then it is a SCP bug.  Unless of course there is a different model in use for the Leviathan, though I don't have the port so I can't answer that one on my own.  If you're using the SCP, Mantis it regardless as a null texture is a bug no matter how you cut it, it should produce some sort of more visable error.

Fenris works, Leviathan doesn't. I didn't adjust anything, change tables, or add any new textures. The only installed mod was FSPort 2.3. No flags were enabled in the launcher. I collided with the Leviathans, but my Proms and even SSL's passed through them.

I didn't. Only the Port.

I fixed it. The table of the Port was using the model cruiser01b.pof, which doesn't work.
I changed it to cruiser01.pof and now works fine.

The table is uploaded at
http://webs.sinectis.com.ar/dsusman/ships.tbl

A better explanation:

I checked the mission file to see if there would be calling for a specific model/texture. Found nothing. Then I checked the table and saw that the Fenris was using model cruiser01.pof and the Leviathan was using cruiser01b.pof. Since there are no actual difference in the model I only saw fit to change it to the model of the Fenris.

At least these things are easy to debug. The binary always is much more complicated. I've neved learnt to use gdb for example :P

does cruiser01b.pof exist?
Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.
              -Frederic Bastiat

Yeap. This was the thing.

sparkee_fs2.vp has the textures (ultra hi-res) for the port.
I didn't extract them, since I may not have processor to run them.
And, since the fs_port.vp doesn't have the textures either, the Leviathan is not shown. Because it's hardcoded in the table.
(Another thing that has no use, either, though it's nice to see a little difference between the Fenris and the Leviathan. One has red spots. The other, blues)

Perhaps should be better to add the model and textures in a future mediavp. Since the FS2 Campaign also uses both classes, the Leviathan textures won't be thrown away. And there will be a difference in both classes :D

I think this should be moved back to FS Conversion. It has no business here any more.

It does, but the textures should be extracted from sparkee_fs2.vp
of the port.

so technically it is still a problem then.
Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.
              -Frederic Bastiat

Well, I dunno.  Because, as for me, I didn't extracted the hi-res vp.
I thought I shouldn't because of the media356c.vp.
But since the Leviathan used *another* texture, it became a problem.

why shouldn't you extract it from the vp because of the media VP?
Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.
              -Frederic Bastiat

Well, at the time I thought why should I?  I had the mediavp and the fsport.vp was optional. There wasn't going to be much difference since it was based ont he mediavp.

Besides, I think I got mixed up with stuff. The readme said to extract from many files and perhaps I missed it :P

I'm new on this, so... Again, this is not an SCP problem
