yes i do have the htl apollo on.  but never crash on any of the mission, where i'm at now.  after Pandora Box's.

What I mean is, when attempting to warpout at the end of Pandora's Box, (or if you get destroyed), does the game crash to desktop, which prevents you from moving on in the campaign?

oh my apologies i think i was.  start over fresh, new character?

Yes.  If I understand you correctly, you were in the middle of playing the 2.3 campaign when you installed the 3.0 campaign.  The two campaigns are incompatible, so the game crashes because it can't find the old campaign.

Just restart the campaign and you should be fine.

Here is the original cutscenes.tbl of FS1, if someone whant to fix the error :P, you must put the.tbl in the fsport directory, this file didt not work if you put it in /data :S

wait hold on..... no i didn't fly the apollo on pardana box, i flew the valkyes on that mission.  after then i crush, couldn't go on.

Well, there goes my potential fix.  I was having a CTD (not on all missions) while using the HTL Apollo, while either attempting to warpout, or during the death scene.  I was able to bypass the problem by either using the Valkyrie instead, or disabling the HTL Apollo and using the stock one.  But, I guess this doesn't apply to you after all.

Ok i start all over.  deleted all my characters, start a new one. fresh.  and its going it again.    i don't know whats going on.   either a bad vp file i dl or something its not letting me continue.



[Edit]  ok this is odd,  i redownload everything.  and somehow, i've started going deeper into the campaign  don't know how that happen but i'm gonna restart the campaign again and see if it happens again.


[Edit]  once again it did it again.  i can't even get to teh next mission.  but i found something interesting on the ship data.  the GTI Acadia (if i can spell it right) but anyways,  i try to look the station, but i couldn't it kick me out.  what i'm guessing is that could be one of the problems thats not letting me going on the next mission.  any idea's??

Okay, let me first verify you installed everything correctly.  This means putting everything Port related into the fsport folder, and everything MediaVp related into the mediavp folder.  Did you do this?

Also make sure you do not have any fsport2_3 stuff in the fsport folder.

What EXE are you using?  Make sure you are using 3.6.9 RC 7.

Now try these steps:
1) Try running the game with mediaVPs disabled.
2) Try running the game with the -noibx command line.

 
i don't even know how to do the -noibx command line.     i put the media vp files in the folder.     which i see most of the ships don't have the new models in it.   and still won't let me throught.


[Edit] - The Hammer and the Anvil, thats the mission i'm on now.   Everything was working perfect till i got here.   and my guessing that its the GTI Acadica station, that it couldn't let me see on the ships data, when it kick me out of FS.  could be that, or could be something else thats not lettting me continuing.    I'm also using the 3.6.9 RC 7  plus the 5.4 set up

something is very wrong which your location of vp files...

Put all Mediavp data in a folder called "Mediavps" , then all fsport vps in a fspor folder, also add the mod.ini for fsport (i inluided one in the last post of the 3.0.3 release tropic), the use the launcher and select fsport in the mod tab.

 
alright hold one.  but wait, if i do that,  will all the hlp models will go away?????

[Edit] - alright i've put all the media vp including the one's from the 3.6.9. RC 7 build in the media file too.   it still won't let me continue.

the mod.ini will call the mediavp folder for the new models, but you can keep the HTL apollo, valkerie, athena, in the fs_port one.

mmm its definitly something which the files...

 
The only thing thats still bothering me, is the GTI Acadia station.  That i can't even see from the ship database.  once i click on it, it automatally kick me out of fs.   what i'm guesting that station where i'm at now, is still not letting me continue. how can i fix that file or model.

Okay, move the following files out of the FS1_Port folder and into another folder, C:\Games\FreeSpace2\unused:
--awakenings-voice.vp
--awakenings.vp
--dop.vp
--eodredux.vp
--fs1tmplr.vp

Move the following files out of the FreeSpace2 folder and into the same /unused folder:
--a_subspace.vp
--Aeos Affair.vp
--axm_jad2eb.vp
--axm_JAD_SE2.vp
--ITDoH Chapter 1.vp
--JtEP.vp
--ls_neb.vp

Move all the mv_ files into C:\Games\FreeSpace2\mediavps.

Once you've done all this, restart the campaign.

yeah... I told you, everything is wrong there :P

Check if you have the mod.ini in the fsport folder, thats who call the "mediavps" folder, so all HTL models and all graphics update can be used when runing the fs_port mod.

 
Ok my apologies, sry for misunderstood, since i'm audtistic.   but thx for helping me out.  i'll give it a try and see what happens
