Crash on misson start
Hi, I recently bought Freespace 2 off of Good Ol' Games.

Well, I used Turreys installer at first to install Fsport, then I started playing through the regular version, until I saw how good the media vps looked on this board.

I saw that I had to update to 3.6.10, so I did.

At first, the game would crash if I saw the apollo model.

Well, I went and replaced my mediavps with the complete one and the music, and reinstalled the fsport-mediavps as well.

Now, whenever I start the mission (The one where you have to capture McCarthy in the Omega), it instantly crashes, but I've tried viewing models in the ingame viewer, and alot of them work... but I tried to view the Arcadia, and the game started reading the description before crashing, even though it didn't show the model once.

I also tried using the debug build, but as far as I can see it produced no log. :wtf:

What's the problem?  Is there some way to fix this, or am I stuck with the '99 graphics?

I sure earned it, didn't I?  :P

If you used a debug build, there will be a debug log. It is called fs2_open.log and will be in the data folder inside your main FS2 directory. To fix this, we need to see that.

As for the problem, well, I can't see any crash here....

Alright, so two things have happened since I deleted the file.
Once I got into the mission, only to have it freeze after the first frame.  It said 8.3 FPS, but once again it was just frozen.
Second, I went back into the ship database, and looked at the Apollo, Terran NavBouy, and finally the Orion.  The display froze on the Orion even though it was still talking.
