Title: Import Geometry - Textures
Post by: Enioch on May 29, 2013, 01:08:56 am
Hello,

I'm trying to import some subobjects (including debris) into an existing model and I am using the 'Import Geometry' function to do so. What happens is pretty weird: the geometry does get imported, and the texture list does get updated (to include the textures of the new submodels) but the textures are not applied to the geometry, i.e. the texture does not display in the 3d view and if you select the texture in the list the related geometry does not 'light up' in that delightful pink wireframe display mode.

Suggestions, comments, help?

Only comment I can offer is that I've had this exact same problem and never found a solution. Import geometry in PCS2 is pretty terrible, generally. If you have the capability, you're far, far better off doing this in a 3D program like Blender.

You should really report problems if you want them fixed.

Are you using "Import Geometry" from the edit menu (which I just discovered) or "Load" from the top of the subobject editing pane? If the former, please try the latter.

Both. 'Load' does nothing. 'Import Geometry' gives me texture errors.

If you don't provide any detail about what you're trying and what happens, I can't help.
