well i don't know there names at this time, but i do know that the anims for the sleeper ship are of Dostya, the Cybran Elite Commander
and the ones from the too 14th BG's main ships are from the UEF
so, can you guess what i talking about?
-
Yep, the credits make it quite clear they're from Supreme Commander. ;)
You can check out the credits screen in the techroom if you want to know where anything's from.
-
They're cool and all but...exactly how legal is ripping those from SupCom?
:nervous:
Not like they would care what we did, but I'd like to know the community's stance on ports from other games.
-
Probably not legal at all. Same as using commercial music in mods.
-
Considering this is stricktly non-profit, it wouldn't go against austrian law. I don't know about other countries, but even if it is technically illegal, the company surely wouldn't mind, since they are credited, which means free advertisement for them.
On top of that SupCom isn't exactly new.
-
The key is to shut the **** up about it instead of speculating about whether or not they'd care.
-
I'm inclined to agree. :P

Aardwolf has it nailed, in my opinion.
-
I wasn't speculating if they care, I was wondering if you people did.
Apparently not :P
-
Actually, we do - during AoA:DC development we pulled all the SupCom anis and replaced them with community stuff.
And it just wasn't the same. We tried, but we didn't have the heart to kill them. :(
-
It shouldn't be a problem to swap them out if needed to then.
But for nao it's not so I salute the UEF flag and still fancy Kristae :3

I salute the UEF flag
/me shoots the traitor.
-
No NO!
I meant the supcom UEF. I'm GTA through and through baby!
-
Oh
OH
/me extracts the bullet from Dekker's forearm.
:D

And on that note, it's time for nice lock.
