R1 Campaigns Nowadays, Like Steadfast...
Since INF:A is not finished yet and R2 is in the making,we have only old textures and low poly models for Inferno campaigns.

Wheter or not the storyline is good,playing with cubes is some kind of penalty for the campaign.
I know that recent Inferno campaigns use many ships from FS2.Steadfast will be the same,also because of other reasons(only 30 years to replace all ship classes in a fleet,c'mon....  :doubt: ).

Inserting ships from FS2 or other mods,in your opinion,is good?

Most of our models are low poly. We have few HP models.
INFA uses the custom versions of the upgraded SCP textures, it doesn't include the new EA maps or textures not needed by INFA.

We are talking about R1 campaigns and the possibility of implementing them with FS2 ships.

Well that's quite easy of you remove enough stuff so the table limits don't become an issue.

I'm not talking about problems.I'm talking about adding ships from fs2 in general.
Except S:AH,I don't know other examples.I want to know if players like such mods or not.

Uh only me and Sid can be classified as the campaign designers, and I just gave my opinion on using FS2 stuff.

I put some non-inferno stuff into Dreamcatcher, such as ......... you almost made me reveal them!  ;)

Just five extra models, deleted Earth.pof (that thing was crap), and it hasn't given me the "too many ships in the table!" message yet, so :ha:

Still, I don't think it ruins Inferno's atmosphere or anything to put in non-INF stuff, so long as you make sure the balance is correct.

Woo:I mean "non official" INF campaigns.

D.H.:We have delted Earth too(but there's a nice screenshot with the new Earth somewhere...).I bet you could change something in Dreamcatcher and I think that preserving the game balance is a must.

I was saying,in 30 years a fleet can't replace most of its ship classes.In FS2 there are a lot of ships already present in FS1,after 30 years.I think that the plot should be changed and move to,I don't know,60 years after Capella(nothing to do with Steady,it's just a suggestion considering that everything has changed with R2).

Well, Dreamcatcher is actually taking place after the Third Shivan War, based on what few details I knew about R1's storyline. It won't have any relation to R2.
