I'm getting hung up on step 3, specifically: svn co svn://vega.livecd.pl/yal/trunk

Reply is Checked out revision 121.

But I can't find a file named Trunk and so I can't rename it. The command locate trunk returns nothing.

I'm ok at Linux, but I'm really stuck here. What next?

Whoa. You're just trying to install FSOpen? Why do you need to go into SVN?

Uh, yeah. What Linux? You won't need to necessarily mess with the SVN. The generic 3.6.10 build for Linux (the one to which there is a link in the instructions thread) might work for you.

I'm running Linux Mint 8.0, which is really just a version of Ubuntu.

If you've been following these instructions (the Linux part is actually written by Joif; I know nothing/very little about Linux), step 2 has a link to the 3.6.10 release thread. Download the Linux build from there. I remember hearing that the Linux build are compiled with Ubuntu, or at least should work reasonably well with Ubuntu. If that fails, you'll need to use the SVN and if that's the case, I hope some Linux guru would stumble upon this thread.

Hmm. I downloaded YAL with TortoiseSVN and I'm guessing that you're supposed to rename the whichever folder where all the files such as yal.pro and yal-qtcreator.pro were downloaded. I'm guessing. I won't take any responsibility for any damage caused by renaming the folder.

Also, a launcher is not absolutely, ompletely, positively necessary. You can set your desired resolution and colour depth by editing some file (read all the Linux material here, I can't remember what file it was), and you can set all the command-line flags manually.
