Ah, I forgot that there was a PC version coming out. I might grab it since I've been wanting to try the Neptunia series, but didn't have any of the consoles it was on.

Depends on the skill of the sniper and which sniper you have.
Marina Wulfstan is the best Sniper in the game. (Skill: Ultimate Accuracy for turning that aim circle into an aim dot permanently)

Your draw is actually randomized at the start. I've gotten Marina two out of three times as one of my starting lineup options.

I'm pretty sure that Oscar sucks, but Catherine's alright.
She gets decent skills, though isn't on Marina's level.

Kinda like how Vyse is okay, but Hannes is the best recruit for Assault, and Musaar, or whatever is name is, is the best recruit for scout.

XCOM Enemy Within.  I read up, and, despite not having played the base game at all, it seems I'm better to start with all the expansions at once than do a run through base then Within.

Finished Borderlands 2 at level 35.  Haven't decided if I'm going to keep at it with new character/harder mode/finishing out all the side missions, or move on to a new game.  Rage is kinda calling my name.  Or spend some real time in any of the 4 3DS games I've got open right now.

Goddamnit I lost my BL2 save.  I was just going in to finish off some side missions, and it gave me the option to turn on true vault hunter mode when I hit continue.  I thought that would just turn up the difficulty, but it sent me all the way back to the beginning of the game.

Yes, turning up the difficulty does put you back into the beginning of the story, but hey, now you can get epic loots from those previously easy missions

But if I do it in true vault hunter, does that mean I'm totally ****ed for the start, or will the game scale back to level 1? 

(I kinda hate how insanely drastic the scaling is.  It makes revisiting earlier locations really lame.)

You start over with everything, including levels, guns, and equipment.  There are new enemies, some bosses play differently, and enemies get significantly tougher.  It's not a boring replay.

Yeah, but I still want to use a different class.  I want to play both the siren and assassin as well, and don't want to take the time to go through the entire game again with the same character.  Most of what made this so fun for me was the exploration.  I don't want to suck all of the replay value out on the same character.

Some current playthroughs:

Crysis 2: Fun game, especially with the quicksave mod, but feels like a generic FPS and is inferior to Crysis 1/warhead in most ways. Much worse graphics even with the DX11 update, and lame aliens that have nothing to do with the ones in the first game.

Terminal Velocity: Playing for the first time in Dosbox. I would have loved this if I played it when it came out. Very much the type of game I used to dream about. Today, it's repetitive and the graphics suck, but I'm still having a lot of fun. Like Descent in many ways, but mostly outdoors and not 6DOF.

Syberia 2: Excellent artwork and backgrounds, but the story and dialogue are quite sparse and there is very little interactivity in the world. I'm about 2/3 of the way through. I like adventure games but this series hasn't really engaged me. Still, it's worth a playthrough, especially for the $3 I paid on GoG for both games.
